Open beta · free for Windows and Mac

Share your mix live, the way it sounds in your studio.

RELAY takes your DAW's master bus and sends it into Discord, Zoom or Google Meet, or streams it straight to up to 10 listeners. They listen in the RELAY app or any browser, at up to uncompressed 32-bit float.

Where your audio goes Your DAW's master bus goes to RELAY, which sends it into your call and to listeners. Your audio interface keeps getting the untouched signal. Your DAWmaster bus RELAYplugin + app Your callDiscord · Zoom · Meet Listenersapp or browser Your interfaceuntouched, on ASIO
Your DAW keeps playing through your interface. RELAY works on a copy.

Two ways to share

Into the call you're already on, or straight to the people listening.

A DAW running on ASIO bypasses Windows' audio, so screen sharing usually sends silence. RELAY fixes that, and goes further when the call isn't good enough.

DAW to System Sound

Your mix, in any call

RELAY plays your master bus on a Windows output, where Discord, Zoom and Google Meet pick it up when you share your screen with sound. Your DAW stays on its own driver; nothing about your session changes.

Good for walkthroughs, lessons and quick feedback. The call service still compresses the audio.

Sessions

Studio quality, to up to 10 listeners

Go live under a session name, with a passcode if you like. Listeners join in the RELAY app, or open your link in any browser and press play. No account, no install.

For mix reviews and approvals: no voice processing, and lossless formats when the connection allows.

Quality

From compressed to your DAW's own samples.

The host picks the quality. Listeners on a slower connection can ask for a lighter one, without changing what everyone else hears.

FormatPer listenerWhat it's for
Opus96–510 kbit/sCompressed, and holds up on slow connections. 256 kbit/s by default.
PCM 16-bit1.5 Mbit/sUncompressed, at CD depth.
PCM 24-bit2.3 Mbit/sUncompressed, at studio depth.
PCM 32-bit float3.1 Mbit/sThe samples your DAW produces, unchanged.

Sessions stream at 48 kHz in stereo. Expect 150–400 ms of delay: fine for listening together, not for playing together.

How it works

Three steps, no routing software.

  1. Insert RELAY on your master

Put the RELAY plugin last on your DAW's master bus. It passes your audio through untouched and hands a copy to the RELAY app.

  2. Go live

In the app, pick a session name and a quality and press Go live. Or turn on DAW to System Sound for your call.

  3. Share the link

Send listeners your link, such as listen.kineticdsp.com/my-studio. It opens in any browser and joins straight away.

Built for the studio

The details that matter when it's your mix.

Never in your way

The plugin never makes your DAW's audio wait, not even on the RELAY app, and your interface keeps getting exactly what it got before.

No drift, no glitches

Your interface and the output device run on different clocks. RELAY measures and corrects the difference continuously, so long sessions stay clean.

Private when you need it

Add a passcode, and share a link that carries an invite instead of it. Change the passcode and old links stop working.

Your name stays yours

A session name is reserved while you're live and for 10 minutes after, so a crash or a restart doesn't cost you your link.

Listeners in control

Each listener sets their own volume and buffer, and can pick a lighter quality if their connection struggles.

Nothing to set up

No virtual cables, no routing apps, no port forwarding. Install, insert the plugin, go live.

Questions

Good to know.

Which DAWs does RELAY work with?

Any DAW that loads VST3 plugins, on Windows or Mac, such as Ableton Live, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper and Bitwig. On a Mac, Logic Pro and GarageBand too, through RELAY's Audio Unit.

Is there a Mac version?

Yes, in open beta for Macs with Apple Silicon (M1 and later). It hosts and joins sessions like the Windows app, and the two work together. To send your DAW into a call on a Mac, you'll also need a virtual audio device such as BlackHole. Download it here.

Do listeners need to install anything?

No. A listener opens your link in a browser and presses play. Listeners on Windows or Mac can also use the RELAY app.

How much delay is there?

Usually 150–400 ms for sessions. That's fine for reviewing a mix together, but too much for playing music together in time.

Is my audio recorded or stored?

No. Session audio passes through our media server on its way to your listeners and isn't recorded. See the privacy policy.

What does RELAY cost?

RELAY is free during the open beta.

Your next mix review, at full quality.
